Down River Coney Island in Soutdgate

I can get a good sized burger and a great portion of fries for five bucks. I love it. The food tastes good, and the service is really good too. Good place to take the family for a cheap dinner. It is also clean, if that is a concern.

Most staff not wearing masks nor did they enforce masks, not cool. Food was decent.

My family loves this place! We've been going to Downriver Coney for over 6 years, back when they were located on Eureka. Glad they have a another spot because we've missed them. Best fried fish from a Coney Island and their chicken strips are really good. Staff is excellent and the owners treat you like family.

Typical Coney Island. We had breakfast with huge pancakes. Also enjoyed the sausage patties. I would recommend DRC.

I come here strictly for their Stuffed pepper soup. It is amazing and I can't find anything like it anywhere else. I have tried lots of things from here. Service is always good.

DOWNRIVER'S HIDDEN GEM.. 10/10.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. GET THE GREEK SALAD FOR LUNCH ADD CHICKEN... PANCAKES FOR BREAKFAST. GREAT SERVICE, FAST!

The coneys were just the typical Coney....but I seen a Greek salad go past my table....looked amazing. And large.

So glad they are back open. Owner very appreciative of customers finding them with the move. Service is top notch & they make everyone feel welcome. Greek salad dressing is the best! You can put that on everything. Can’t wait to come back.

Just left after an amazing VERY FILLING meal. I'm not good with remembering names but our server and busser were quick with it. Our food and drinks came fast and all the food was delicious. I couldn't wait to write this review. AND THE FRIED OREOS?!?!?!!!!!! Omg we could hardly move after leaving 😂😂 if you want a cozy environment and a friendly atmosphere then you should seriously stop in. Great food, great prices and amazing service.

Never disappoints! Large servings and so cheap. The staff is so friendly. Everything for carry out is hot. I just wish they were open 24 hrs. The place is always clean. I always check out the floors and food area.

Been coming here for years for their chicken greek salad. The dressing is so flavorful that sets it apart from the sea of coney islands out there. The owner is friendly and usually working in the restaurant which is a nice change from other locally owned restaurants

So clean so delicious SO in love with this CONEY! Management is amazing and very hospitable! Their Greek salad and sourdough French toast are to die for! Absolutely dream about them multiple times a week!!! Need my fix! Obsessed!

Really good food but they switched recently from being 24 hours to closing at 11pm most nights which stinks because they were my go-to place for late night meals when I didn't feel like cooking. Going to have to find another 24 hour joint now. That being said, they make really great omelettes that are worth checking out if you're awake during their new business hours.

My husband and I ate breakfast here earlier this morning and I am not exaggerating when I tell you: I had the best omelette of my life. It was absolutely delightful, as was our waitress. I wish I had caught her name. She was a young lady with dark hair. I am cutting carbs drastically and did not want the hash browns or toast. I did not realize I could substitute anything. She listed off a bunch of options and was super pleasant about it. I was impressed. It was kind of nostalgic for my husband and I because we used to frequent Johnson’s in our youth. I’m so happy DRC is in this building. It’s a major improvement! We can’t wait to return!

Glad to see Julius and the crew back at the new location. Went in this snowy night. Service was great. Food was even better. Very accommodating!!! Cmon downriver help them reestablish that clientele.

Did not get everything wrong ordered in out take out, and didnt realize until we got home. They say, well you can come back and get it. Dont tip carry out counters unless you check your work for them I guess.

I came here with my wife and daughter never having been to the new location. We each ordered breakfast and had excellent food and service. Very good prices. I ended up ordering a customized breakfast burrito, and they were more than happy to do so. This is my favorite restaurant to go for breakfast burritos now. Cooked to perfection. Will be coming here more often.

Teffific place to eat! We go almost everyday.Beefsteak tomatoes instead of their delicious potatoes is one of my healthy choices I sometimes make. Bacon is crisp and thin, not overly cooked. Wonderful service on top of it!!!!!!

Great experience here with the service and food. The food is as you would expect in terms of selection, but the portion sizes are incredible value and everything tasted great. The server was also really upbeat and friendly.
